Soap berries (aka soap nuts) are a berry-like fruit grown on the Sapindus Mukorrosi tree which is native to India and the Himalayas. These berries  produce a natural soap called saponin which acts as a natural surfactant. They are odourless, hypoallergenic, biodegradable and compostable.
