Olive Oil Soap Flakes

If you desire a scented soap you can simply add a few drops of your favorite essential oils.

Ingredients: extra virgin olive oil, water, sodium hydroxide

Flakes are sold in a 175 g glass jar. 

The soap flakes are 100% vegan, ethically purchased, with no animal testing, biodegradable, paraben-free, phthalate-free, dye-free, and alcohol-free.

Laundry Detergent Liquid: Combine 1 L of boiling water with 1/3 cup of soap flakes and 1 tablespoon of baking soda. You can add essential oils to your mixture if you want a particular fragrance. Pour the liquid in an empty bottle of liquid detergent or into an extra large mason jar. Let the mixture stand for 24 hours or overnight. Shake before each use. Add 1 cup of white vinegar in the rinse cycle with every loaf (larger loads may require more).
Hand-wash for Delicate Laundry: Dissolve 1 to 2 tablespoons of soap flakes in some boiling water and then add it to a large basin of warm water. 

Dishwashing Liquid: Mix together 1 L of boiling water, 1/4 cup of soap flakes, 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of washing soda (e.g. Arm & Hammer). add your mixture to an empty bottle of dish soap. Shake to dissolve.
You can also use this recipe in the dishwasher by using the same amount as your  usual liquid dishwasher product.
Add citrus or lemon essential oils to enhance the dish cleaning properties of either of the above. 

Foaming Hand Soap: Blend 2/3 cup of boiling water with add 1/3 cup of soap flakes. Pour into an empty foam soap dispenser and shake. Scent with your favorite essential oil blend.

Floor Cleaner: Add 1/3 cup of soap flakes to 1 L of boiling water. Mix to dissolve and then add in 1 tablespoon of white vinegar. Store in an empty bottle. Add a 15 ml of this floor cleaner concentrate to 1 L of water and then wash your floor. Scent with a few drops of pine or cedarwood essential oils or leave unscented.
