The Story Behind Make Nice Company

Founder Bonnie Yang started Make Nice Company when she couldn’t find an alternative to dish soap in plastic bottles. She and her partner had already switched their body wash and shampoos to zero-waste solid soap alternatives, but there was nothing available for dishwashing. So, she thought, why not make it herself?

Developing the Ideal Solid Dish Soap

This idea led to an in-depth process of learning soap-making, testing recipes that effectively cut grease, and determining the ideal shape for usability. Bonnie wanted the ingredients to be 100% natural, simple, vegan, and easy to pronounce. After months of making samples and testing with friends, she found the perfect recipe. The rest is history.
